    1. Hi Jackie
I really like to help mum make soup because i get to use the knife and cut things up.
I also like making pies with mum. i get to roll out the pastry.
I like to make my own sandwiches too.

  2. Yum, Hunter you are very helpful and that soup looks delicious. Did you have rolls or toast with your soup? You had to do lots of peeling and cutting. Did you have to measure any ingredients out? Soup is great, especially if it is a cold day. What else can you cook Hunter?

  3. Kia ora Hunter,
Well done on being such an excellent chef in the kitchen and cooking some soup for dinner! Soup is one of my favourite foods to eat, especially homemade vegetable soup with some freshly baked bread. I like to add lots of fresh veggies to my soups such as leeks, carrots, onions, celery and cabbage.
Apart from potatoes and carrots, what other ingredients did you include in your soup?
You mentioned how you got to cut up the carrots and potatoes. This must have been quite tricky, and I can see from the photo you included how focused you are on doing a good job!
Did you find it difficult to cut the vegetables?
How small did you cut the pieces, and did you try to keep them all the same size?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
I am very interested to see that you cooked your soup in a slow cooker. This is such a fantastic idea, and I can imagine how helpful a slow cooker soup would be on busy days! You could just chuck all of the ingredients in there in the morning, and then come home to a delicious home cooked meal.
Keep blogging Hunter, you’re doing a great job!

  4. Hi Hunter,
I am really impressed with your cooking skills! I made vegetable soup the other day too. I wish I had a helper like you at my house. Do you often help Mum cook? I made some Anzac biscuits last night any boy did they smell good! They tasted really crunchy too. I see you told Naomi you like making biscuits. Have you ever tried cooking Anzac biscuits?
It looks like you are doing some great learning from reading your blog. Can't wait to see what you write about next.
