Construction at the Beach

Today we went to the Beach and found this old tree

So Mum, Mila and I decided to plant it again

We covered the base if the tree with lots of logs and sand to hold it up

Once we covered it we then put stones all around the base

Mum took my photo of our finished tree in the sand

I took this  photo of the stones around the base

After we had finished, we went and sat up on the bank and watched the waves come in and around our tree.
I didn't fall over.

  1. What a beautiful day it was to go to the beach. I love how you replanted the tree. You all did such a neat job of decorating around the base of the tree. Wow and then you watched the sea come back in around your tree. Did it take long for the sea to do that? Why does the sea come in like that? How long does it take for the tide to come in? How long does it take for the sea to go out? What is that called? Lots of questions for you today Hunter.

  2. Hi Hunter
The way you have replanted that tree is very 'arty'! It looks like it should be in the 'Driftwood and Sand' Competition that is held in January. It was neat that you sat on the bank, well away from the sea, to watch the waves come in around it. That was really good thinking. Do you go to the beach a lot Hunter?

  3. Hi Hunter, that is cool. I like how mum took a photo of you up next to the tree. That shows me just how big it was. Did you measure it? It must have been hard work gathering all those stones. How many did you put round the base?

I love how you have replanted the tree and decorated it around the base.
I wonder if it will start to grow again? What do you think?

  6. Hi Hunter, what a wonderful creation you created. I like how you decorated. You must have made it strong as it didn't move when the waves came. How far did you dig it into the sand?

    1. Hi Mrs Long, We didn't dig this tree into the sand Mum held it up while I covered the bottom with the sand and sticks. Mum said it was really heavy to hold up so i have to rush.
