  1. Hunter, you are making Lincolns most favourite thing to eat. LOLLY CAKE!!! You have so many talents. That looks like a really long lolly cake. How many packets of biscuits are in that. How many of the lollies did you eat? And is there any left?? YUM!!

  2. Hi Hunter
Well, well you are becoming a well-rounded chef - dinner and sweet things! Your mum will be very pleased! I love the way you have done this blog, I got every excited when I saw all the lollies in the bowl! Gosh, I don't think I have ever seen such a big lolly cake! How long do you think it will last in your house? Something as yummy as lolly cake wouldn't last very long in my house!

  3. Hi Hunter, you are making lollie cake! I really like how you asked a question in your blog post so that we had to answer it. Now my bubble family want me to make them some.

  4. Hi Hunter - ooh I loved that I had to guess what you were baking! I had a little bit of an idea but I really knew when I read the word' "lollies". What type of lollies did you use? My children used to like cutting up little marshmallow men but what's your favourite? Did you have to read the recipe by yourself? I am sure the lolly cake didn't last very long!

  5. Kia ora Hunter,
Yummo, your lolly cake looks absolutely delicious! I wish I was able to reach into my computer screen and pull a piece out, because this treat is one of my favourites, and yours is definitely making me hungry!
I really enjoy making lolly cake, especially the first step of crushing the biscuits. Whenever I make this at home, I always tip the biscuits into a plastic bag and fold it up so that there are more layers of plastic surrounding the biscuits. I then get a rolling pin and hit and smash the bag, trying not to pop it open while crushing the biscuits!
Your idea of using a blender is ingenious, and I cannot believe I have never thought of using one before.
I own a food processor which would be perfect for this job, although I do have to admit that smashing biscuits with a rolling pin is a lot of fun!
Have you ever made lolly cake this way?
How many biscuits could you fit in the blender?
Did you have to blend more than one batch of biscuits?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
You look extremely focused while cutting those lollies, and I can tell that you are being extra safe and smart while using the knife.
I imagine the lollies would have been easy to cut because of how light they are. The lolly cake, on the other hand, looks massive!
Was it difficult to cut the lolly cake into pieces?
How exactly did you manage to cover such a giant roll in coconut?
On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being disgusting and 10 being absolutely fantastic, what do you rate your lolly cake and why?
Keep up the great work Hunter!
    Nga mihi
